Yes of course, you can select to collect your order instead of delivery at checkout.
Collection is from our retail premises between 9:30am-5:00pm at:

Order Uniform UK Ltd, 4 Swansea Road, Pontardawe, Swansea, SA8 4AB.

We will email or text you when your order is ready for collection.

How can I pay?

We accept the following payment methods:

Debit or Credit card
Paypal

Are the setup charges “one-off” fees?

Yes, a setup charge is a one time fee in order to digitise your design ready for embroidery.

Once you have paid the setup charge for your customisation, you will only be charged the garment and application fees for any future orders.

How do I know what size I need?

Before placing your order, please be careful to check product size information.

As we supply garments from a wide variety of manufacturers there is no such thing as a standard size. A medium item from Uneek maybe a different size to a medium by Orn.

Every product has a size guide next to the sizes for the item, which shows the specific sizes for that item.

What size will my design be?

The maximum print area is 30cm wide by 40cm high.

All design sizes are specified by their width, with the height set proportionally to the width.

The recommended sizes are as follows: (All sizes are Approx)

Left Chest/Right chest/Bottom Left/Bottom Right
80-120mm

Centre Back/Centre Chest
200-300mm

Left/Right Sleeve
80-100mm

Top Chest/Top Back/Bottom Back
150-300mm

Front of hat/cap
100mm

Please note, the recommended sizes are a general guide and not all logos can be made to the maximum size. When choosing a position, please take into account the design, and how it would look. Please contact us if you would like any help. Please note that not all small text and shading can be embroidered, if there is a problem with your logo we will contact you.

What does GSM mean?

GSM stands for Grams per Square Meter and is how the thickness of a garment is measured.

The higher the GSM number, the thicker the fabric.

How to care for your new item

We want your garments to stay looking good wash after wash. To ensure they keep you looking your best, we recommend you follow our easy wash care guide below.

The manufacturers wash care label, does not take your personalised design into account:

  • Before washing, undo buttons, close zips and check pockets for loose or sharp objects
  • Wash at 30°
  • Wash inside out
  • Do not bleach
  • Wash with similar colours
  • Wash with similar textured garments
  • To avoid excess friction, do not overload your washing machine
  • Do not leave in a wet environment
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Lay flat to dry to avoid shrinking
  • Do not dry clean. Chemicals used in dry cleaning can damage the print on your garment
  • Never iron over the imprint
  • Iron on the reverse side using the lowest heat setting
  • For best results wash before use
  • NB: Embroidery ring marks are a normal part of production. Whilst we endeavour to remove them, please note they come out in the first wash

We expect the customisation to last the lifetime of the garment if this wash care guide is adhered to.

If you need to wash your garments at higher temperatures or require hardwearing items, we recommend embroidery rather than print as embroidery can sustain higher temperatures and friction. Always read the label and other garment wash care instructions.

What are the Setup Costs?

There is no set up cost for:

Printed Text

Embroidered Text

The setup cost for embroidery logo is £9.99 and printed logo is £9.99. It covers the time and expense of converting the file you upload into a format that can be used by our inhouse machinery.

Remember, once you have paid a setup charge for your embroidery design, you will not be charged this fee again on any future orders.

What is a high stitch count application cost?

This is when your logo will exceed 25,000 stitches or it is over 150mm wide.

Most logos average only 10,000 stitches, so this high stitch count pricing only applies to very large embroideries, generally back embroidery which take much longer for us to produce.

What quality of image do I need?

Ideally, the image should be created at 300 dpi.

The general rule is that if your image appears pixelated or blurry as you view it on the screen, then it will be the same, or slightly worse, once printed.

This is because our machines are so sophisticated that they pick up every detail.

Not sure on your artwork quality? Don’t worry, our expert artworkers review every order and we will contact you if we don’t think we can get a great result with your upload.

What is the difference between a logo and text?

There are 2 types of customisations, text and logo.

Text

  • up to four lines of text, maximum of 16 characters per line, (spaces count as characters). We have a wide range of fonts available.

Logo

  • a logo/image
  • a combined logo/image and text file
  • text in a specific font or shape not offered on our website
What fonts can I use to create my text?

We offer a variety of fonts for both print and embroidery, shown below. If you require a custom font not listed, you can create and upload your text as an image file.

(**** Rhys to provide list of fonts ****)

I received my embroidered order, but there is white material behind the design, what is this?

This is backing, it is used to stabilise the item during the embroidery process.

Can I use images from the internet?

By uploading your design, you confirm that you have the right to use the design. Please see below.

By uploading or submitting any material (including an image, design, logo or word/phrase) (“Artwork”) to personalise a product on the Order Uniform UK website, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that the Artwork does not infringe the rights of any other person or entity. If you are a business customer, you shall fully indemnify us on demand and hold us harmless against any claim, costs, losses and expenses (including legal fees) that arise out of a claim that the Artwork infringes the rights of any third person.

Will my colour exactly match what I see online?

There are likely to be differences in colour between what your see on screen and how your logo looks printed.

This is because monitors display colours using red, green and blue light (RGB), whereas printers use cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink (CYMK).

We always do our best to personalise your garments, in the unlikely circumstance that you aren’t completely satisfied with your garments, please contact us, and we will do our best to rectify the situation.
